This exhibition presented the Italian artists chosen by a commission presided over by Luigi Ontani for the Italian Studio Program in 2000 and 2001. For the fourth consecutive year, this programme offered a scholarship to an emerging Italian artist, giving him or her the chance to live and work for an entire academic year in New York, with the use of a studio in the P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center.
The artists in the exhibition were Alessandra Andrini, MALA.Arti Visive, Ottonella Mocellin, Sandrine Nicoletta, Roberta Piccioni, Fabrizio Rivola, Norma Jeane, Davide Bertocchi, Gianni Caravaggio, Elisabetta Di May, Stefania Galegati, Claudia Losi, Daniele Puppi, Sislej Xhafa and Italo Zuffi.
